New Member Recognition Event

New Member Recognition Event

Each Golden Key chapter is tasked with hosting an event to induct new members. At these ceremonies, new members join their peers and are recognized for their achievements and are given a certificate of membership. The New Member Recognition Event (NMRE) allows attendees to network and meet student chapter leaders, other members, university administration and faculty and honorary members, as well as learn more about scholarships, member benefits and community service projects.

The New Member Recognition Event (NMRE) is our formal induction ceremony. It is held annually every spring. At the NMRE new members and their families come together and really learn what Golden Key is all about. Speeches are given by several officers, our chapter adviser Mona, and from select keynote speakers. It is at the NMRE where members are awarded their official Golden Key International Honour Society certificates. After certificate distribution members stand for The Call where they are called upon to uphold the three Golden Key pillars: Academics, Service, and Leadership. Following the ceremony, new members are welcome to stick around for a mixer, where they can network with alumni, honorary members, officers, and other members. It is truly an event to attend to gain a greater appreciation for Golden Key, and to fully grasp what it means to be a member of such a prestigious society.

To RSVP for the NMRE, go to
www.goldenkey.org and login with your GKID. Go to the "My Chapter" page, and view chapter events to find the link to RSVP.
